Smooth Dumbo

When I got Maggie, it took some
time for her to trust me, but with a
little help of yogies, she did. She
became very outgoing, and not
afraid of anything. She was the
start of my rattery, and will never
be forgotten. 21 months just wasn't
long enough with her.
Piper was a rescue that I took in.
She gave kisses from the very
start. She became very ill, and
was going to the vet on a
weekly basis. We tried so many
different medications to save
her, but in the end, I guess it
was her time to go. She was a
tuff one to lose. We became
very close, as I was giving her
round the clock care.

Just saying her name gets me all
choked up, and teary eyed. As long
as I live, there will never be another
Maya. Let's just say that before she
came along, I wasn't fond of red
eyes, however, she
quickly changed
me, and is the reason I love red eyed
rats now. I can't even find the words
to describe our bond. There was just
something very special about her.
She will forever be in my heart, mind,
and in my soul. Love ya girl!
Leaving at 19 months, just wasn't fair
to either of us. <3
Shadow
Shadow was originally  Leeanna's
rat (my daughter's friend). I fell in
love with her, and I begged
Leeanna to give her to me, but it
seemed like forever, and she
wouldn't budge. Then, she finally
said I could keep her. She was
always full of life. I had her for
about a year, and a half when she
got a tumor in her tail, we had to
remove part of her tail to remove
the tumor. Then, six months later,
she got a tumor behind her eye, it
was just too risky for surgery. I let
her live her final months, until her
quality of life was not good, then I
took her to the vet, and had her
put down. That was really difficult.
There are several ratties that I didn't get pics of, because I didn't have a camera, but I do want to
mention their names here: Snowball, Emma, Grace, and Dominique.

Not such a lucky day for us.
Though Emily looked like her
mother Maggie, she had the
personality of her father Bleu. She
often reminded me of him. I was
grateful to have her here, for as
long as I did. She holds a special
place in my heart. She had some
beautiful babies with Leo. Thanks
my baby Emily. Hugs and kisses to
you across Rainbow Bridge.
